Here is what I think happened:
THe WH has connections with the Muslim Brotherhood, the plan was to have 40 Americans taken hostage before the election, Obama would have them released a day or two before the election thereby getting voters to vote them back in office.
The two Navy Seals stopped the plan with their brave actions rescueing over 30 of the people involved and killing as many as 80 terrorists. The terrorists were so mad at the losses they killed Stevens.
This IMHO was the October surprise. People should hang!

Maybe you are right, as it would explain the otherwise inexplicable non action of the White House. That is the real question, why would they have behaved in the manner that they did, when it made no sense, and only served to hurt them?
