If this were from a normal conservative site I’d say bogus. But Blackfive is the real goods. They have the experience and the contacts with those who have even more experience. When you think about it logically it makes all the sense in the world. There’s no reason to light up a target if there’s no system at hand to take it out. If these ragheads were smart, and the way they used the mortar says they were, they’d know that the Tallies in ‘stan track lasers and infrareds using cell phone cameras, and I’d guess that Woods knew that too and wouldn’t be exposing himself for no reason or waiting for help two hours out.
Seems farfetched that laser and IR can be tracked with the visible spectrum camera on a cell phone.
Isn’t it possible Woods was lighting up the mortar site in an attempt to scare the ragheads off the mortar. He knew eventually they would calibrate correctly if not forced to move.
