The free market at work.
You’d have to be an idiot to want to drive down there right now.
Lib politics are only partly to blame, space in SF is precious because it is a peninsula, there is no more land, and with earthquakes being a “when” not an “if”, the cost of building UP is incredible.
Plus we always take the ferry from Tiburon... straight to the park, easy, quick (compared to driving).
Love AT&T park, though.
Love AT&T park, though. It's absolutely beautiful and first class to boot.
My daughter took me to the game the night before Cain's perfect game. We parked across from McCovey Cove and it was $30 then (June).
Would I pay $130.00 to park in a garage across the street to see the Giants in the World Series at ATT?...probably.
BTW, the night we were there Bummgarner (sp?)hit a home run into the left field bleachers and Brandon Belt hit one that bounced off the walkway at the cove (not a splash hit)...Also, the Giants had more than 13 strike outs that night, I know because we got a free package of Brats from Safeway.
Thanks to my daughter I picked a good year to be a Giants fan.
