The one thing they CAN'T do is cross an international border without permission from POTUS. So the US Military will be inbound full-steam-ahead to make the rescue, and all they need from POTUS is a "proceed" order. In this case, they got a "stand down" instead.

You triggered a memory here. Remember the Somali pirates vs. Navy SEALs early in the Obama's pres_entcy? Remember how hesitant he was about the commander giving the order for the snipers to shoot the pirates even though one of them had "an AK-47 pointed at the back of American freighter captain Richard Phillips"? Only after they were successful did Obama express pride in their saving Captain Phillips.

Interesting how quickly Obama responds to charges of supposed racism (Henry Louis Gates/Beer Summit and Trayvon Martin/Obama's Son) but is a pantywaist when it comes to other sorts of leadership. He's more like a Prom Queen adored by a bunch of girlie-girls than a CIC.

Hussein is trying to keep this info. from getting out until after the election and likely thinks it will go away at that time.

I heard/saw Panetta saying both he and the commander in charge over there agreed they didn't have enough information and thought it was too dangerous for our guys to go in there so they didn't give the “go” order.

He didn't include Hussein in that at all - didn't mention his name.

When I heard him say it was too dangerous, I thought what is the military for, to wait until a battle is over so they won't be “hurt”? I felt such disgust toward Panetta and Hussein for letting those men die without trying to save them.

Travis, I see collapse of everything coming, Hussein or no Hussein - it will happen faster if Hussein remains. I have studied the history of nations that collapsed from early times forward, and we are on that conveyor belt to destruction and can't get off now.
