Howdy a day late. I see complaints about austerity measures in the piece and disagree with those complaints. The size of government must and will be radically reduced. A special focus on reductions of funding and activities for regulatory offices would make way for more real production (new, small manufacturing starts with rural zoning ordinances against them repealed, new families in truly productive business).
I do agree with the complaint against tax increases during hard times—especially new/rising national sales taxes and the like.
