N. Korea imports US$170,000 of firearms from Switzerland

SEOUL, Oct. 26 (Yonhap) -- North Korea imported US$170,000 worth of firearms from Switzerland in the first half of this year, Seoul's trade agency said Friday.

The communist country brought in about $100,000 of guns such as shotguns, air and gas rifles, and revolvers while importing around $70,000 worth of firearm components, according to the report by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, or KOTRA.

Imagine him wearing a Mickey Mouse hat while trying out all his new Swiss toys at a shooting range made exclusively for him. LOL.

“Dearly Beloved LardBoy” could easily spend forty four kilobucks on a custom shotgun.

It's got to be to make counterfeits, the Norks have no ideals, standards or respect for humanity or trade. The inventory, U.S. Force's and ROK units lost on the 1st push South by the Norks and then the 2nd push South by the Chinese is mind-boggling. So you see why the article specifies “sporting”. The biggest expenditure, mechanisms, pistons and components would indicate they have some stuff to fix. In any case $21 thousand does not buy a lot of pistols and revolvers at 3 to 4 hundred dollars each.
