White House considers idea of new tax cut
Philadelphia Inquirer ^ | October 28, 2012 | By Zachary A. Goldfarb

The White House is weighing the idea of a tax cut that it believes would lift Americans' take-home pay and boost a still-struggling economy, according to people familiar with the administration's thinking.

Obama administration officials have concluded that the economy, while improved, is still fragile enough that it may need another bout of stimulus. The tax cut could replace the payroll tax cut championed by President Obama in 2011 and 2012, which was designed as a buffer against economic shocks such as the financial crisis in Europe and high oil prices. It expires at year's end.

We have entered the ten day period during which Obama will “consider” a tax cut. Once he’s bought votes with the promise of letting us keep some of our own money, maybe, he’ll reject the tax cut idea and go back to taking everything he can get away with. This is an appeal to the slow learners - traditional Dem voters.

any new obama “tax cut” will of course be paid for by a tax increase on “the rich”

obanomics in a nutshell

..Dip water out of the deep end of the pool
..Pour that water into the shallow end of the pool
..Then claim obama increased the volume of water in the pool
..But if not, it’s because he inherited a damaged pool from George Bush
..and it’s just gonna another 4 years of water dipping to increase the amount of water in the pool

Absolutely no one, regardless of political affiliation, is listening to Obama anymore. This article is purely perfunctory. Democrats float these rumors as a matter of form, even though they know one is listening, and the sympathetic press reports them even when they know no one is reading.

Most of us knew this was the way out at the beginning of the recession. We even said so, right here. Now with the economy in desperate straits, unemployment across the board and growing, now they begin to think about the correct solution? No way!

I believe they have known the answer all along but were, and still are, trying to destroy the American economy so Americans will beg for their answer: socialism/COMMUNISM.

Hopefully not now, not ever.

Bingo, some of them know what works. the big O and company are not trying to destroy America! They are trying to maim it, permantently cripple it.

They seriously begin this article 10 days before an election without noting it’s a political ploy?

Also they never acknowledge that Obama has morphed into a conservative in the last days of this election (at least in his lying rhetoric).

“...administration’s thinking...” = Administration’s flailing.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

This is mindful of 1996 when Dole, in a late panic, proposed a 15% across the board tax cut that he had not talked about before. Suddenly, everyone in his campaign was wearing these stupid “15%” buttons. I remember thinking, “Where was this 3 months ago, 6 months ago?” You knew it was completely disingenuous, and you knew he had lost for certain at that point.

Yes, tax cuts were the correct solution. In typical Obama style he picked the least effective - payroll tax cuts. The article claims that these are the most effective yet they are Keynesian in nature producing a little more net income to increase consumption.

The tax cuts we need are the ones that will increase production, you know, the ones that "benefit" the rich by not robbing them so badly.

——The administration may be looking at alternatives to the payroll tax cut because some lawmakers, particularly Democrats, don’t like the idea of using a tax that ordinarily goes to fund Social Security.——

Only people completely out of ideas would steal from Peter to pay Paul....

The SC gave carte blanche to any tax they can come up with.
Where are all the Obamacare commercials from Obama stating it's success?

Is this the same sort of “tax cut” that only cuts the withholding and leaves you owing more come April? I have $300 extra a month coming out of my retired military pay to make up for such “tax cuts”.

Hidden IN PLAIN SIGHT is Obama's ACTUAL tax hike on the middle class for 2012 - the expiration of the increased AMT exemption that is going to bite a whole bunch of taxpayers if not corrected in the lame duck session.

Once again the RATs accuse the Republicans of that they are "going" to do when they have already done it.

A tax cut for the 47% is just another way for of redistributing the wealth from the makers to the takers.
