This is like when Clinton was accused of sex in the oval office and Hillary says that such claims were “outrageous!” Yes, they were outrageous. True, but outrageous. It depends on the meaning of what “is” is.

Look at the grammar of the statement. The president never withheld requests for help. He didn’t stop the SEALS from making any requests.

They kept making requests and he did nothing, but he never withheld any of their requests.

1.) To whom did the president give the first of his “three very clear directives”—that is, “make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to?”

Do you remember the picture of obama talking into the wrong end of the phone...well?

Why was this so hard for President Obama to say on Friday when asked a direct question about assistance to Americans under fire?

Because it would have been him saying it, on camera, in his own words.

For Obama, that is the thing for others to do.
