The Dictionary describes treason is the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.
With information coming out daily from whistleblowers, it is becoming apparent that information early on, was sent to the situation room in the White House. It is very possible that people in the situation room were watching the attack in Benghazi in real time.
Whether or not the President was there his National Security Council members certainly were. If the President was not present he would be contacted.
There is only one person who could refuse to help or to give an order to stand down and that is the president himself.
The order not to help and the order to stand down is a betrayal of trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.
Anyone else besides the President, like the Secretary of State, secretary of defense or any member of the National Security Council who were in that room would be guilty of the same crime. All of them would have violated their oath of office and fidelity to the U.S. Constitution.
Leon Panetta's statement was that: " - we had forces in play to do that but there is a basic principle here, the basic principle here is , you don't employee forces into harms way without knowing what's going on, without having real-time information about what's taking place."
Well that's a crock. What did Panetta need to know? How many guns they had, what was the caliber of those guns, how many men were attacking and where exactly are they?
Good God , they knew our consulate was under attack, and they did nothing except to stop who wanted to help by telling them to stand down.

he should be impeached (but if we can win the vote then I will settle for that)
Mission Accomplished!
I'm a traditionalist in this regard.
And now we know.
If on Tuesday, they are out...champagne for everyone.
If Obama steals the election and wins. Drink your champagne and then load your weapons...WWIII has begun!
Wow! I'm the glad the Revolutionary War wasn't fought this way (or any of our other wars), we'd still be English subjects!
It takes courage to be a leader and make decisions; something the Obama administration is seriously lacking.
Propoganda Alert:
Just heard Geraldo interviewing some retired General who supposedly has talked to reliable sources. According to him, everything that could have been done was done.
He said AfriCom has no forces of it’s own. The team that was called for was in the USA (two teams). They could not get there in time.
Assets had to be moved from Europe, and they also could not get there in time. The only thing they managed to do was to get a Drone to the area.
Geraldo is chastising all the politicians who are politicising this incident. Someone needs to take him down a peg and address the lies.
This is directly opposite what several of the lead investigative reporters have stated.
If it’s true that we didn’t have help in the area then why not after the warnings and advance requests for help since this attack wasn’t the first sign of trouble???? The administration still isn’t absolved from dereliction of duty.
Agreed. But why are they letting Geraldo report crap that is directly opposite of what all the other reporters have stated as fact?
I didn’t know we were so helpless that we couldn’t protect a U.S. ambassador over the course of what, seven hours? I don’t understand how we could invade anyone. /s
So, after the requests for extra security, there were not even any assets near by to help them? Is that it, now? Why is this information so slow to come out?
Do they allow Geraldo to go on air just to make a bigger azzhat out of himself?
