President Obama To Attend Orlando Rally
October 28, 2012 2:17 PM

MIAMI (CBSMiami/AP) – President Barack Obama will speak at a rally early Monday in Orlando before heading back to monitor the progress of Hurricane Sandy.

President Obama scrapped campaign events Monday night and Tuesday morning.

“This is an example, yet again, of the president having to put his responsibilities as commander in chief and as leader of the country first, while at the same time he pursues his responsibilities as a candidate for re-election,” Josh Earnest, a White House spokesman.

"...Hussein planning a military move?..."

Naw, he'd just rather be stuck in Mickey-Mouse-Land than DC if the storm hits bad.

For him it's kind of appropriate .................................................FRegards

I, too, am monitoring the storm; I'm monitoring it switching between NBC and Fox. I'll be monitoring it for 2+ more quarters and/or 5 more innings focusing like a laser for hours!

His schedule will be more flexible after the election. Can he monitor Sandy then?

This whole “monitor Sandy” stuff is no more than an attempt to stay in the headlines. There’s enough comm capability that it doesn’t matter where he is, he can be kept current. If anything his visits to FEMA etc just gum up the works.

The Romney site already has a link up to donate to Sandy relief.

Good move....

If he is in Orlando he will not return to Washington Monday.
They are not going to attempt to land AF1 in a 70 knot wind.

Libs already crying that if Romney so much as mentions Sandy, he is politicizing it. And if he doesn’t mention it, they will say he doesn’t care.
