Republican Mitt Romney has canceled his planned appearance in the Milwaukee area due to Hurricane Sandy on the east coast.
Romney had planned to campaign in West Allis on Monday night. His decision to cancel came just hours after President Barack Obama canceled a planned Tuesday campaign trip to Green Bay so he could stay in Washington to monitor the storm.
Romney spokeswoman Gail Gitcho says Romney is canceling "out of sensitivity for the millions of Americans in the path of Hurricane Sandy."
Exactly my thoughts. I doubt he’s going to be sitting around idly. He’ll figure a way to make it work to his benefit.
One less group out traveling, one less plane in the air to manage. This is no big deal. At this stage, the only people seeing O look Presidential are the die-hard worshippers who are going to vote for him anyway. I think it’s a safe solution. It’s true it doesn’t put the campaign first,,sometimes that’s a good thing in a politician. It could be said that R/R have enough confidence in their position to see them through Mother Nature’s hissy fit. (did I just see a lightning bolt?)
Steady as she goes
He could go to Minnesota.
It might be good to take a day or two of rest and reflection before the hectic last week.
exactly
Just because obama has to be there as that is his job though he forgot that about Libya then Romney needs to do his job and thta is get out there and stop playing sissy.
I;m sick of the media running our campaign, they are using this storm to ignore Libya then make oabma look as if he cares and not once have I seen the father of a dead Seal get on any other network other than FOX.
Romney needs to get to WI, OH, IO and FL or even CO and mention this storm.
