The article refers to the amount of money on October 17, about two weeks ago. Really, sometimes reading Free Republic is not much different from reading DU in their propensity in attacking the RNC. Although, if we look at the 'concerned posters', many of them stated they don't even support Romney or give money to the RNC.

Well I guess all this extra cash explains the resources being suddenly poured into PA, MI and MN. By the end of this coming weekend, would not be surprised to see Romney ads in unlikely places like OR, ME, NM and CT. Either way, they are going to spend that money by Tuesday.

Could be looking at a 40-state 350+ EV win here.

I have a feeling that this Romney campaign strategy will be studied and emulated for years to come.

How about hiring attorneys to stand in on every rat precinct?

New Romney ad...

“We brought our campaign in under budget and we can do the same for America!” (cheers in background)

gee...I sent out 3 $100 donations just this evening, and several others a week ago, most to Romney, but also to Mia Love, and Todd, among others...

you'll find that a lot of us don't like the party politics but support wholeheartedly individual candidates...

It's political drip irrigation. Economical, deep, targeted to just the right areas, not subject to surface evaporation, and ultimately very effective. :)

Guys, the RNC has said before they will spend a lot on GOTV.

I think that is where a lot of this will go, plus final ads etc.

And this number is from DAYS AND DAYS AGO....not the current figure.

It is terrible the RNCe does support conservatives like Todd Akin of Missouri.

Perhaps I should not complain. None of it came from me, I only give to the individual.

I have a friend in Florida who is on the ground for Romney, every day until it’s over.

His staff holds early morning and afternoon Strategy meetings. If you suspect ANY hint of fraud you’re to contact the Romney Team immediately and they will have someone on the ground within minutes.

His Campaign has it locked up, particularly in battle ground states. Not surprised.

Can this be used for legal expenses, if the election ends up in court?

Make sure it doesn’t go where McCain’s unspent funds went...

McCAIN’S BAIT-AND-SWITCH:
Left-Over Cash For Presidential Run Spent on Senate Bid

According to his campaign finance reports, McCain transferred a whopping $4.65 million in Presidential money to his Senate race.

“Money that was supposed to be spent keeping Obama out of office
represents about one-third of the total amount McCain spent on his
campaign so far,” Hayworth said. “Maybe if he had spent the money on the
Presidential campaign he would be President...

I agree. They’ve been spending the money all along, it’s not like they’ve been hoarding it, just that due to Republican enthusiasm so much has been pouring in that they were left with a nice surplus for the home stretch. And that’s a good thing. I’m sure all of it is being put to good use, especially in regards to the GOTV effort.

When you don’t have to charter buses and buy sandwiches for illegal immigrants to go in and vote you end up saving a LOT of money!

Heck I would rather vote for the party that at least end up at the end of the election season with a SURPLUS, rather than a deficit!

They can use it to buy MRE’s and ammo after Obama wins.

If Obama wins and QE Infinity has ran it's course you won't even be able to buy a loaf of bread with 68 million dollars....
