New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who has blasted President Obama’s leadership, heaped praise on Obama on Tuesday for his handling of Hurricane Sandy.

“The president has been outstanding in this and so have the folks at FEMA,” Christie said on NBC’s “Today” show.

Christie, whose state is among the hardest hit by the storm, made appearances on several morning talk shows on Tuesday and applauded Obama at each stop.

Probably wants Obama to win thinking he can run in 2016.

Christie throwing the praise a little prematurely to consider it a “good job” honestly, is advising looking up on the internet, which is likely to be trafficked to death for storm updates, much less watch it on TV when it is likely that the power could go out, a smart idea? Frankly not, but that’s what Obama was suggesting.

I think something is going on under the radar that we don’t know about. I think Christie and the Romney folks have had a falling out of some kind. When was the last time Christie talked favorably about Romney?- it’s been months.

Maybe Christie is still mad that Romney chose Ryan over him and is trying to get back at him by passive-aggressiveness.

I have detested Christie since he backed liberal Mike Castle over Christine O’Donnell in DE in 2010. However, this is no big deal. It helps us more than it hurts. “Tea Party” Republicans are fair.’

I have to say, imho, this about Cristie. He is not to be trusted. He is like a wolf in sheepskin. He dresses himself as a Republican, but is far from the values Republican conservatives hold close to the heart.

Christie should have been giving Romney updates and had him into New Jersey first, guarantee if it was a Rat Governor and a Pub president it would be repeat of Blanco in Katrina. They would do everything to help their nominee.

I watched Christie on Fox&Friends this morning. As he lambasted the F&F guys because they asked a question about the presidential election, I got the impression that Christie is a tad miffed at Mitt for not offering him the VP slot.

I was just thinking today how Christie might invite Romney to tour the storm damage and how that could really help the campaign.

Wow, was I ever wrong about that.

I can understand wanting to invite the President, but why snub Romney?

I guess he is more concerned about his own reelection than about us taking the White House.

aw, cut the guy a break...his state is smashed to crap and will need bazillions in federal aid. It’s hardly fair to expect anyone in this situation to dis the POTUS.

You may have a point about Christie in general, but not on this issue today.

He could have politely thanked him without praising him like he did.
This was a huge mistake and will likely lose at least one percentage point for Romney.

There are still alot o really dumb people out there who make their decisions purely on emotion.
And is anyone else ready to throw a brick through their TV if they have to watch Shep salivate over the storm for one more minute?
