Yeah, everyone complains about the weather, but no one ever does anything about it!

I was NOT a climate disaster. It was a big honking storm.

If New Yorkers are so worried about hurricanes, they should not rebuild next to the Atlantic Ocean. The barrier islands should be off limits to rebuilding, according to the EPA....and you know how Liberals love the EPA. Perhaps an endangered spider or salamander will be discovered on Long Island and the entire reconstruction process will come to a halt.

He couldn't bring himself to say "Sandy shows
the U.S. that man's works
is unprepared are usually not a match for
climate natural disasters."
"Never let a crisis go to waste" includes never letting a natural disaster go by without using it to further the idea that Washington, DC needs to aggregate more power to itself in order to "protect" us from something they have no control over.

Now imagine nukes launched from barges about 200 mules out. There’d be about 5 minutes warning. DC, NYC, Boston, Miami, destroyed with tens of millions of dead and dying.
The muzzloids are probably planning this right now.

The construction of this city did not anticipate these kinds of situations. We are only a few feet above sea level.LOL! I wonder how many times throughout history those words have been spoken and yet they've still rebuilt?

Maybe if we stopped buying Sandra Fluke the Flake condoms we could afford to have disaster control.
Shove it, WaPo. As if anyone with a real education is going to believe a collection of bottom of the SAT journalism majors.

These people really believe storms like these are a new occurrence and could be prevented? They need to get over themselves. Mother Nature has always kicked our behinds.

Shempherd Smith just loves these big "disaster" events because he's the biggest drama queen on TV.
Between his constant editorializing while reporting, his inane asides, his irritating voice and his over-acting, I just can't wait till the top o' the hour when Bill O'Rudely comes on with his arrogance, interrupting and over-talking.....
Oh, wait, I think I'm going mad....they're coming to take me away, away.......

In the end, is there really anything we can do to prevent it? When it’s time to go, it’s time to go. Mother nature isn’t discriminatory.

Lost me on the first sentence.
We can prepare on the individual level for stuff, and maybe on the city/county level. But the country is too big for some grand Federal plan.
Beside that, the Feds tend to make a mess and use too much money.
