You got that right. They didn’t have to do what they did. My oldest was a toddler then and my youngest wasn’t even born, but I’ve tried to emulate and pass down to my sons the very same spirit.
Few things, as a Father, are as important as leading by example. This is one of those “character defining moments” your children will remember you for. And they will pass that to their children in time.
