The Arab world would be "relieved" if Israel were to strike Iranian nuclear installations, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu maintained in an interview published Wednesday by France's Paris-Match weekly.
Netanyahu said that if Israel were to attack, "five minutes later, contrary to what sceptics think, I believe there will be a great feeling of relief throughout the region."
The interview with Israel's prime minister came out on the day he began a key two-day visit to France.
"Iran is not popular in the Arab world, far from it," he said in comments reported in French. "And some neighbouring regimes and their citizens have well understood that a nuclear-armed Iran is a danger for them, not only for Israel," he said, without mentioning specific nations.

Anecdotally, I had the same thing after Israel took out Iraq’s Osirak reactor in 1981.
There was lots of table thumping and strong words against Israel by the Arab governments - but secretly, they were relieved.
As much as there’s an element in the Arab world that wants a strong single leader (pan-Arabism or Islamist-oriented), it strikes me there’s just as many that don’t want a dominant single country or leader.
If Iran gets nukes, then the major Arab States will rush to get them as well, and an arms race will emerge.
Privately, the Arabs will be happy. However in public they’ll curse Israel for attacking fellow Muslims, and riots will happen.
Bibi has carefully considered every possible scenario regarding the aftermath of a possible pre-emptive strike against Iran; and I assure you he will not hesitate to defend Israel, regardless of the Arab or International communities reactions to such a strike!

Exactly. Five minutes later, there will be a feeling of relief throughout the region. Ten minutes later, there will be anti-American and anti-Jewish riots throughout the region - orchestrated by those who whisper to "go ahead" into Israeli ears.
The Western/Christian world needs to understand that the Arab/Muslim world is NOT SANE, in the sense that the Western world understands and defines sanity. There’s no point in trying to reason with them.
When Israel smashes Iran, it will be USA and the West which will be most relieved. Being addicted to ME oil, drowning in debt, lost in layers of covert everything and cowering from retribution from the RIP, prevents action by the West.
