AP to Romney: Stay Out of Blue States!

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: This is from the Associated Press, and it actually sounds like they're livid here. The headline of their story: “Romney, GOP Suddenly Plunging on the Democrat Turf.” They're upset that Romney is spending money in Pennsylvania. The AP's upset that Romney is spending money in Wisconsin and Michigan and Minnesota. They're upset.

Who does he think he is? Those are our states!

That's how this story is written, if you read it. "[Governor] Mitt Romney is suddenly plunging into traditionally Democratic-leaning Minnesota and Pennsylvania, and his GOP allies are trying to put Michigan into play. It's forcing [Poor Old] Obama to defend his own turf.” (whining) It isn’t fair! Obama is “pouring money into television ads in the states and dispatching top backers,” and Biden's going out there saying, “It's not fair! It's not fair!

“Why Romney shouldn't be able to do this! Those are our states.” That's the way this thing sounds when you read it.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH:The AP here is: why are the Republicans doing this?

Why are the Republicans plunging into our states? Those are Obama states. Who do they think they are? What are they doing? Why should Obama have to spend money? It isn't fair. You'd think the AP would have trouble with this if the Democrats were plunging into traditional Republican states?

Here's how they analyze this. And there's no way of knowing, as I said in the last hour. "Republican efforts in the trio of Rust Belt states --" Pennsylvania, Michigan, Minnesota -- could indicate that Romney is desperately searching for a last-minute path to the needed 270 Electoral College votes -- without all-important Ohio. Or just the opposite, that he's so confident in the most competitive battlegrounds that he's pressing for insurance against Obama in what's expected to be a close race. Or perhaps the Republican simply has money to burn. Use it now or never."

The Obama campaign, for what it's worth, the last and first of these explanations are exactly what the Obama campaign is saying. "Well, they don't have any way of winning Ohio. They know they're done in Ohio. They're trying to create a new path. Romney's a rich guy, just got money to burn, doesn't want to have any left over. He's not gonna share with anybody. He's not a nice guy," blah, blah, blah, blah. So that's how the regime is explaining it all.

All right. We'll take a brief time-out and we'll continue, we'll get to your phone calls and we got audio sound bites, and we got a great roster. We got people commenting on Governor Christie playing the role of a Greek column for President Obama today in the south shore of New Jersey where the 1%-ers --

(interruption)

I'm gonna hear from him on that? He's not gonna have time to get to me. He's gonna be hearing from a whole lot of other people before he hears about what I'm saying.

(interruption)

Well, I don't care. Who doesn't blow up my tail every day? What have I got to lose?

Clever! I hope we'll be hearing that a lot on election day.

Nope. It’s an AC-130H Spectre Gunship...the type that should have been over Benghzi.

I do have a B-17G in my “stash” waitintg to be built. It’s 1/72 scale and is a very detailed and pretty expensive kit. I intend to build it to honor my Uncle Al, who died over Germany in a B-17 in 1944.

Wouldn’t it be great if this turned into a 40-state blow-out.

Just fantasizing here, of course, but if this does lead to civil disruption by the minority unwilling to accept the will of their neighbors, I for one would be perfectly happy to hold a plebiscite to draw lines for a republic to which they may retreat, and leave the remainder of the former territory of the United States as a land to which they may visit, but to which they may never emigrate.

Like what was drawn up between Pakistan nd India, only, ALL the dissidents would have to be removed to the side of the line of separation they chose, not to return.

Where they made the midtake in India is not to assure the Muslims all ended up OUTSIDE India’s borders. That was why Pakistan and Bangladesh were created.

But the Muslims kept on sneaking back in.

Obama does not “own” any states. When poller Suffolk pulled out of NC, VA, and FL(?) because they believed Romney was ahead that did not stop Obama from campaigning there. Where was the complaints there? That Obama is stepping on Romney states. This one sidedness is stupid.

2008: No one know much about Obama. They bought into those nice speeches on “Change” from some gifted speechwriter that went into Obama’s teleprompter and that is what people voted for. That doesn’t mean the states he won in 2008 are his—especially when you consider that Bush won many of those states previously. Obama does not “own” states. As correctly pointed out those are our (the people’s) states.

Few of us care but I still hate how the media stuck us with red the color of Marxism instead of giving it to the party it belongs to.

So I’ve addressed it in my tagline for many years.
