U.S. yanks support for Syrian opposition group, warns of extremist takeover of uprising
Washington Post ^

ZAGREB, Croatia — The Obama administration on Wednesday renounced the proclaimed leaders of the Syrian political opposition and said any group seeking to oust President Bashar al-Assad must reject attempts by extremists to “hijack” a legitimate revolution.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said the Syrian National Council, or SNC, should no longer be considered the “visible leader” of the opposition. That made official what has been the increasingly obvious sidelining of an opposition group led mostly by middle-age Syrian expatriates.

Yes indeed! Hillary is completely out of her depth and doesn’t even seem to realize that she manages to contradict herself twice in one sentence. But I guess dealing with Obama would have that effect on one. (Although I was never impressed by Hillary’s supposed smarts to begin with; all she ever did in her life was marry a powerful climber and cover up his messes to enable him to keep on climbing, hardly the “feminist” dream!)

Reread the articles.

Hillary did NOT separate the US from the AQ-backed leaders, but actually separated us from a group of more or less moderate opponents of Assad on the grounds that they were ineffective in building a coalition. She then said that we need to give more support to the “activists” who are “on the ground and doing the fighting,” and with few exceptions, at this point in the game, that would be a combination of run-of-the-mill Islamists and outright AQ backed groups.

I believe it was their plan too. But I truly believe it is a mixture of ideology and dirty money. These dem leaches and politicians are always out to enrich themselves at taxpayers expense. They also get huge dollars playing crony capitalists and then more money goes into their coffers.

What you’ve written does make sense and explain it, but I keep looking at Obama’s motives to overthrow governments in the Middle East. I’m thinking Hillary just said, “We received your message from Benghazi. We will stop.” Why didn’t 150 guys in Benghazi just overrun both facilities? There’s a big difference in military terms between an “attack” and a “raid”. This looks like a raid. Why just a raid?

"WOW! Did they finally realize that backing Al-Qaida wasn’t such a good idea?"

No. Hillary just can't afford another Benghazi-like attack anywhere else. It'll cramp her plans for 2016.

If the Ambassador supplied weapons to Al Qaeda in Syria, why would Al Qaeda in Libya want to kill him?.

Why would Al Qaeda work with Obama after he killed the founder of Al Qeada, Osama Bin Laden ? Lots of things make no sense when it comes to the Obama/Hillary regime.

My best guess, it was not Al Qaeda. They are always the go to group in the international blame game. The number 1 suspect, given all the circumstances, this was payback from Assad for the attempted assassination of Assad by the Hillary/Obama regime. They took out the apparatus that was acquiring the loose weapons in Libya that were being transported to the Syrian rebels. That fits the entire scenario, IMHO.

Could be much worse then that. Perhaps the opening shots in World War III. Some of the attackers were dressed like Afghani’s according to a witness. That brings up the possibility that an Afghan tribe was hired or perhaps some Iranians were involved in some way. Or perhaps some military regulars were trying to disguise themselves as Afghani’s to shift blame. Lots of possibilities in that region.

On my mind is a balmy tropical day in Hawaii.......

The compound coming under mortar fire is the new $35 million Obama compound. That will be the Al Qaeda revenge for Bin Ladin.

When considering likely future events, that seem probable

Obama was not buried at sea after the raid. He is dead, but the entire story has many problems. IMHO.
