Because the White House and the press are covering it up and have thrown Mendnandez out as the distractor.

We are no longer a republic. We are an increasingly totalitarian oligarchy.

Biggest reason?

Harry Reid and the Democrat majority in the Senate.

Let's change that in 5 days.....

That is my hope. Everyone is keeping their powder dry until after the election.

Surely to goodness this will not be swept under the rug. Or America is finished.

Good point. Guess I can quit hyperventilating. lol

It’s just that I have seen SO MUCH apathy, and crimes going unpunished. (Fast & Furious, for example).

Got a little paranoid there.

Jason Chaffetz, R. UT (I think it UT) is on a media rampage however and doing a great job discussing General Hamm, the coverup etc. He seems to be a one man show except for Ms Lindsay who pirouettes on to the screen periodically.

Hearings are scheduled to begin November 13 in the House.

My point would be that the Republicans should have refused to adjourn the House and made this THE issue of the campaign. There are reasons why Romney shouldn’t be taking the lead on this issue, but there is no excuse for the House to let Obama off the hook after they had just started to dig into this mess. The initial hearings were a wealth of information and exposed the video fraud. The Republicans needed to follow up with hearings focused on the failure of the Obama regime to respond to calls for assistance.

If you were paying attention you would know that the House Republicans already held hearings on Bengazi and obtained direct testimony from the State Department and Bengazi Security commanders that has led to the breakdown and breakout of news and facts.

One wonders if you are a troll or merely grossly uninformed?

Even if there are hearings, I don’t expect much will be accomplished. A few lower end types in the administration might lose their jobs, but if Romney is elected President, they would be losing their jobs anyway.

The truly culpable parties, particularly the president and secretary of state, will come out of this unscathed. No one wants to touch the Evil One, lest they be accused of racism.

The House is the only body where the Republicans hold and edge and can initiate hearings—but all the House members are out campaigning to keep their jobs in the election that is only five days away.

They were unable to nail down the coverup during the hearings they had and thanks to the suppression of news by the MSM the issue is not getting the attention it deserves.

Brent Bozell nailed it in an article the other days when he exposed how the “non-biased moderators” of the Sunday shows completely ignored the issue or squashed any discussion when the conservative panelists tried to bring it up.

Um... Perhaps because Congress is adjourned right now and not back in session again until after the elections?

A sufficiently motivated Congress member or Senator could hold all the press conferences he or she wanted, but committee hearings, subpoenas, and all that can only be done while Congress is in session.
