Not all registered Democrats are actually Democrats......
Not that I agree with this...but I have some pretty conservative family members who are registered Democrat because they live in areas where the Republicans don't even bother to field local candidates. So their only chance to influence local issues is voting in the Dem Primary. Or so they say.
