We can go back in time and compare the CIA operations in Afghanistan during the early days after 9/11, where we where supplying various elements of mujahidin, with weapons in order to topple the Taliban regime in Kabul. I wonder how many CIA and some SECOPS members may have lost their lives during those early days in Afghanistan and upward during that operation.
Just a thought we should bear in mind. I'm not justifying the way the Libyan operations where being carried out as far a the gun/weapon smuggling aspects with the intent to send stuff to Al Qaeda and other rather rabid groups within the Islamaic movement, to take out the Assad regime.
The DOS position all along was only "humanitarian aid" would be provided to the Syrian victims in this civil war.
We know that was not the case.

During the cold war, there was justification for this idiocy. Iran/Contra. Mujaheddin in Afghanistan. Etc.. But the cold war is long past and there is no reason for this idiocy anymore. The Obama/Hillary onion has many layers to peel. But at the heart of the onion, they were aligning themselves with the hardcore Islamic radicals. And DC in general approved (DINO/RINO cult) until it all blew up in their faces with the attack on their covert weapons op in Libya. The RINO’s as usual will run cover for the DINO’s by blaming Libya on Al Qeada. This will give Romney Carte Blanch to try to undo some of the horrendous outcomes (Libya, Tunisa, Egypt, Syria) from this failed alignment policy.
