After all, there were no hurricanes before grant-happy scientists invented Global Warming, and Obama - who’s already walked on water and fed the masses with three fish and a loaf of bread - will guide us all to the Promised Land where there is no Global Warming.
You can get anything you want at the government handout window, because everything can be blamed on ‘Climate Change’.

Every hurricane is terrible to the people that it hits. Hurricane Sandy was no different from any other hurricane in that respect.
By historical standards, Hurricane Sandy was a relatively minor hurricane (Category 1 when it made landfall). What made it so damaging was where it made landfall - a very high population area with a high density of oceanfront development.
It has been over seven years since a Category 3 or greater hurricane has made landfall in the U.S. This is the longest period of no major hurricanes since we began measuring them.
We are constantly told that the past 10 years of mild summers and hard winters is not evidence against Global Warming. We are also told that the seven year stretch with no major hurricanes is also not evidence against Global Warming. The fact that every Global Warming model ten years ago predicted annual increases in warming and annual increases in the rate and intensity of hurricanes is irrelevant.
And yet, every time there is a hurricane or any other extreme weather event (which we naturally have all the time somewhere in the world) it is immediately proclaimed as yet more proof of Global Warming.
It is almost certain that the next seven years will have more severe hurricanes than the last seven. It is simply the law of averages. It is also certain that every hurricane will be proclaimed as proof of Global Warming. It is simply the law of Global Warming politics.

Bloomie should deny any permission to rebuild in flooded areas until climate change is proven to be halted and reversed. That would be, maybe 100 years or so for sufficient evidence. All of the displaced businesses and people can just wait it out.
The way I see it is that there was no threat to the New England coast until they put up those stupid windmills and changed the wind patterns (a theory just as plausible as climate change, Don’t you think?). Did any of these awesome scientists bother to examine what thousands of windmills all over the world do to existing wind patterns? I didn’t think so. This is the argument I have personally used against my “global warming” friends. Instead of helping fight global warming they made it worse than if they just left it alone. They really don’t know what to say. I am a little surprised that I have not heard anyone else make this argument but feel free to use it if need be. I am not a scientist but this seems to make sense.
In your endorsement you admit "climate change" may not have anything to do with it. Indeed, Force 1 hurricanes have hit the US before but NYC has usually been spared. Do you really think reducing our carbon footprint would show any benefits within the next 50 years? If so, you're the only one. A US President cannot stop China, India and Brazil from cancelling out anything we would do.
Obama has done nothing on climate change and not even mentioned it in the debates. His "green energy" projects consist of wasting taxpayer dollars on pet projects for his supporters. The companies go bankrupt or the workers sit around playing cards and we are stuck with the bill.

What this is all about is FEMA money. Bloomberg figures if obama loses he’ll still be able to hit him up for FEMA money before he leaves office. But obama is between a rock and a hard place. What will Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnisota think about that?
