“Ask ‘em when they’re running out. Ask ‘em when there’s no heat in their homes and they’re cold. Ask ‘em when their engines stop. Ask ‘em when people who have never known hunger start going hungry. You wanna know something? They won’t want us to ask ‘em. They’ll just want us to get it for ‘em! “
geez i am losing sympathy day by day for many of these people. i’m in colorado in a house so yes i have more space to store stuff and i have stores within walking distance and cash on hand (and the means to protect it). it’s been 5 days and they are running out of food? they are cold? don’t they have blankets? with very little perperation a week in late october without electricity and heat and gas would be merely an annoyance. hell i would use my cars more to keep cell phones charged.
maybe i’m just too old to care any more what people think of me.
Saw the movie but never read the book.
