I looked at the models/maps yesterday for an hour or two, but didn’t go further than election day. Seemed to me that bad weather or cold weather will only be in NorthWest (WA,OR), Southern CA (possibly), and very cold push in the MI,WI,ND area. No major precip other than the West. No major unseasonably hot areas.

I didn’t see signs of this system, but I wasn’t looking at things with respect to Wed or beyond, and nothing grabbed me suggesting something was going to act like Sandy by Tues. This system didn’t appear at all. However, what I recall from my exploration yesterday, if this system is tracking like a typical Northeaster, the system coming in from the north may well interact in a similar way to Sandy.

That would not be good, since the temperatures in the whole MidWest-NorthEast will be substantially colder.

Time to stock up on gasoline, I think... especially given the current situation in the NJ,NYC area.
