Yes, Obama got a small bump from Sandy, but the idea that Mitt has been “sunk” by it is way over the top.

While the Dems on their sites are saying it definitively has ended the election, most (if not all) of our analysts see it as just a temporary blip that will largely be forgotten by next Tuesday.

Am I concerned? Sure, but I would be concerned if we were up 20. That is just my nature.

The point is, Romney is in a good spot and had a very real chance of winning this thing Tuesday. Giving up now is quite simply not an option.

Lets bring this one home!!

Who or what is Wenzel Strategies?

However, a good friend of mine just wrote this and it appeared on Breitbart, so that makes me feel better.

I did, and I must tell you I’ve never heard of them. What kind of track record do they have? I understand they are a conservative polling firm. That’s great, but just as we would question a liberal polling firm the same is true of a conservative one.

I want polls that are going to tell me what is going to happen, without the bias. Just my two cents.

So you have friends that work for Senators and Brietbart...yea right. You sound like you are full of crap. Signed up August this year, hmmmmm. Nice touch bringing in you have a wife also. You are really some guy on his Ipad down at Starbucks in a scarf and skinny jeans aren't you? A homosexual DU troll, how cliché, you guys were much better back in 2008, more covert, more nuanced. Must really just frost you being on the other side this election, not coming here to taunt but to lash out, vent you frustration that your messiah, your Hope and Change is about to get deposed and humiliated. That your fantasy where you can marry your BF and your Sister can’t have her baby sucked out into a sink because it interferes with her aspirations of getting her PhD in Anthropology and ME pay for it may not come to fruition. That there are no unicorns and fairy plans for Green Energy economies in Mitt Romney’s agenda, that America will have to go back to work, and that pursuing a 3rd college degree and binge drinking into your late 20’s IS not a career.

I know you are going to retort, act insulted, try and hopelessly defend your cover here. But….We still invite you to stick around, debate honestly, be who you are, be an adult, that this 2008 act is tiresome and does you no good, really. You will not dampen our enthusiasm or spirits, we are going to win Tuesday and no amount of snark, nastiness or taunting on your end is going to change that. Not woofing my friend, it’s just your reality, Romney will be the 45th President of the USA and nothing you can do about it, start accepting that.

Many part of PA are booming with the Marcellus play. All so counties getting rich from it will be hard GOP. Most of PA is GOP but Pittsburgh and Philly are Dems. This will be a squeeker but I really think Obama is in for a BIG surprise.
The energy sector here is strongly GOP.

1) PA IS "in play." Romney not "hoping" about anything. Ryan in MN!!

2) Zero is in CO. Huh? That was supposed to be in the bag for him.

3) You can tell by the schedules who is winning.

Maybe because the early voting shows a R advantage and he is doing extremely well in Bucks Co, the key to it all.

Is Romney spending the last precious hours of the campaign in vain?

If you never try to change minds you will never begin to make head way in a state and you as a party have determined to paint yourself into a smaller and smaller pathway to victory.

I think it helps Romney to campaign in PA because it presents an air of confidence and suggests momentum. It puts Obama on defense & it gets press in OH.

I’m probably younger than a lot of Freepers, but I live in Bucks County (Philly swing suburb), and I have never seen this much support for a GOP candidate since 2000. There’s very little, if any, Obama yard signs or bumper stickers.

Hopefully Romney will pick up the suburbs and win this thing!

Pudner and I went to school together at Marquette University. He was a Senior when I was a freshman. Guess who was my classmate? Scott Walker of Wisconsin. And yes, I know several folks that are staffers for the Senate...if you know anything about Marquette and the Les Aspin School of Government you would know why.

Pudner is awesome and he wrote a great article that I linked. Here’s a nice youtube clip of him last year talking about our passion, Marquette basketball as well as politics. He has worked on Republican campaigns for his company for many years. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFt9icKBuKY&noredirect=1

It’s a shame you act the way you do. Rasmussen out today, he now has it tied. Are you going to call Rasmussen a “homosexual DU troll”? http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/political_commentary/commentary_by_scott_rasmussen/an_unpredictable_end_to_a_very_predictable_election

Really, some of you are incredible. I already voted for Mitt, so did my wife. I am merely talking about what the polls say and I’m labeled something. Awesome. It’s going to be razor tight, all about turnout. Praying for the best.

An anecdotal story from tonight:
I was at a ballroom dance event in Harrisburg tonight and went to dinner at the restaurant there. As luck would have it sitting across from me was a family Mom, Dad, and two young adults...perhaps their kids. I overhear the conversation. Some of the things I heard were. Mom says “Tea Party Idiots”, “I hate Chris Christi” “I hate Tom Corbett” (R gov of Pa). The young adult says “There is only one reason that I’m voting for Obama and that’s because he got Bin Laden”. And the father says, “Pennsylvania is a lock because there will be 500,000 votes coming out of Philadelphia”. I am listening to this and couldn’t keep my mouth shut. So I say to the young male, “Obama didn’t get bin Laden the navy seals did” It was like I poked a hornets nest. A storm of invective was sent my way. Husband: “I don’t listen to Rush Limbaugh or watch Fox news I use my brain” “Romney is an elitist” “He doesn’t care about half the country”,”Republicans trying to suppress the vote with voter id”, “My disabled sister shouldn’t need a voter id”. Wife: “Look at the video ( the 47% video) that proves he doesn’t care”, mockingly laughing at me “hahahahaha the liberal media right hahahahaha” .

My responses as calmly as i could was to ask about Benghazi ...no reply. To ask if they knew of the Alabama utility company who drove up to New Jersey to offer help with the power outages but turned back because they were not union... no reply. Asked husband where he got his news? He said many different places. He kept repeating that PA is a lock because there will be 500,000 votes coming out of Philadelphia. I asked him where he works....he works for the labor department...gee fancy that.

Meanwhile in the booth next to this family was a couple, who became my back up. They were definitely urging me on. In fact when the husband said he doesn’t watch fox news....the guy said maybe you should.

Anyhow the conversation died down. They stopped paying attention to me. I tried once to get the attention of the wife but she wouldn’t acknowledge me. Here comes I wish i could have said this alert. If i could have talked to her I would have said, “Ma’am you mentioned Tea Party idiots. I have an IQ close to the mensa range. So you remember that the next time you spew your bigoted hatred” (That line was well rehearsed on my drive home) When they were leaving I said trying to be friendly, “Have a good rest of your evening” They just ignored me.

I chatted with the couple in the next booth. They told me they were from Western Pennsylvania. And all of Western Pa is for Romney except perhaps for Pittsburgh. That they had never seen anything like it before. They also told me they have a friend from the CIA and that if he heard what this family in the next booth was saying he would have pulled a chair up to their booth and started a conversation.
