The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the October jobs report today showing that the labor market has only gotten worse since President Obama was sworn into office.
The number of unemployed Americans rose by 170,000 in October and the unemployment rate rose to 7.9 percent. When Obama was inaugurated in January 2009 unemployment was just 7.8 percent.
Overall the number of unemployed Americans is up by 209,000 since Obama took office.
“The good news in the rising jobless rate”
That’s the CNN/Money headline LOL!
If you based it on the same labor participation rate as when Obama took office... the unemployment rate is much higher.

Not the change Americans were hoping for.
This author is plenty mixed up.

ONE MILLION, FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY NINE THOUSAND.....NEW OCTOBER UNEMPLOYMENT claims!!!
The NEW JOBS number of 171,000 for the entire month of October is reported from ADP- the payroll processing company that works nationwide.
That difference is a whopping 1,298,000.
This author needs to re-write this article, IMO.
Every day, Obama campaigns on a higher number of ‘jobs he has created’. Today, he is up to 5.5 million new jobs.
I don’t think that is correct. Pinnochio numbers.
“Overall, the number of UNEMPLOYED Americans is up 209,000 since Obama took office” ????
How can this author possible say that?
Just in October, New unemployment claims exceed the ‘new jobs’ number by 1,298,000.
This whole article is bogus!!!!
