I donated $$ to Glenn Becks Mercury One charity where all the money is going to local churches to supply folks with food and warmth and water. I am willing to give the church a chance first ..then i will think about a 35% overhead national org. Groups like this and Franklin Grahams org will serve these folks better
The Salvation Army is also a very low overhead, high results organization. I just donated there.
