You didn’t get the logic. It wasn’t a touchy, feely, compassionate for show issue. It made no sense to devote even one iota of resource to this marathon given the current situation in the metropolitan New York City area.

The “resources” are there for activities like this Marathon, as well. Are you saying that the marathon organizers, participants, and vendors are freeloaders?

Not only the city has unfortunate people who suffered through the storms, but also unfortunate marathon organizers/runners/vendors who have to suffer through this batsh*t populistic craziness.
