“They’re conservatives. You should try it. It’s the reason we’re all here.”
I am a conservative for all of my 72 years. And I have learned in that time that there is a looney Right, just like there’s a looney Left. Solid Conservatives would not harm their electoral chances with making statements like Mourdock and Akin did. I am just looking for a reason for their actions. I thought maybe, since one of the posters mentioned that these men were “religious” that perhaps their religious beliefs led them to the statements they made. Just what drove them to these utterances is all I am interested in knowing, and neither of them has satisfactorily explained why they did it.
It must be nice in your world where nobody ever makes a mistake or says something they wish they hadn't said in the way they said it. You want an explanation? Are you a simpleton? They said what they said because they are simply not the silver tongued, practiced liars that most Democrats are. Now, why not just shut up and give these solid conservative candidates the support they deserve?
And by the way, your use of the phrase "looney Right" has my spidey sense tingling. Scumbag Democrats use that phrase to describe people who take the US Constitution seriously. What do you mean by it?
