Far better men than I (The founding fathers) had a lot to say about embracing the enemy. Ronaldus himself talked about a party standing for something and not embracing the ideals of the opposition.
They are wrong, or people who vote for liberals are wrong. One or the other. They cannot logically all be correct.
The point I was making is that what we get from this GOP guy can't be any worse than what we got from Tierney. There's no compromising of principles involved. Did we compromise our principles when we allied with Stalin to fight Hitler? No - we had some goals in common, and we worked together to accomplish them. We want to turf Tierney and so does this new guy. If he turns out to be a problem, we can primary him and run a Republican for this seat the next time around.
Yup. Just like what happened with Bohner, Lord Lindsay, McCain and McConnell.
I’m so glad the voters primaried them. They held their feet to the fire!
And the world is a more conservative place. Except none of that EVER happens and thinking it will is a delusional fantasy. Do you believe, can you sit here and say with a straight face that anyone will primary a gay Repub in a liberal state?
No, there will just be more excuses about how “well it’s a lib state so what can we do?”
