Florida, Virginia, Ohio, and New Hampshire: These four states are in the Eastern time zone, and thus could be called earlier than states farther to the west. If three of these four are called for the same candidate before 10:00 p.m, or even midnight, that candidate will win the election. (Pennsylvania and Michigan are in the East also, but there is less of a chance of those states going to Romney.)

Florida and Virginia are "must-haves" for Romney, and if either one does not go for him, that would be telling. That would mean Romney will lose.

Once again, it could all come down to Ohio. Whoever wins Ohio, will win the election.

Are you talking about Romney/Ryan? Real Clear Politics has been showing Missouri as red for a long time -- it's not a swing state, and they don't have to spend time there. If Obama or Biden isn't there, then it means they are not contesting it.

I guess you haven't heard about Todd Akin. He is a true conservative Republican running against an ultra Obama liberal Democrat for U.S. Senate. Romney, Rove and the GOPe dumped on his for making a Pro-Live statement that turned into a 15 second gaffe. RNC held back all funding as well as support. I guess the GOPe don't need Missouri to get them a majority in the Senate. Amazing.

Of course I have heard of Todd Akin. But Romney/Ryan aren’t going to any non-swing states to campaign for senators. They only have a limited number of time and will be spending them in the swing states. Please don’t be so supersensitive. Everybody understands the Todd Akin situtation, which is what it is. He said something stupid that unfortunately puts the pro-life cause in a bad light and calls into question what should have been an easy win for Republicans. It would have been best if he had quit and a smarter conservative replaced him. However, he took a chance that he could still beat McCaskill. At this point, as there is no other alternative, I wish him luck and hope he does beat McCaskill.
