AP Claims That Obama 'Seems' to Be Leading in Key State Early Voting But Offers Scant Proof

I have remembered how to seem. ---King George III in "The Madness of King George."

This is a tale of two stories. The first story was an article your humble correspondent read in today's Miami Herald. The news couldn't be better for Mitt Romney because it reported that the Miami Herald/El Nuevo Herald poll of likely voters showed the former Massachusetts governor leading Barack Obama in Florida by a comfortable 51 to 45 margin. However in the same edition of the Miami Herald there is also an Associated Press story stating that Obama "seems" to be leading in early polls in key states. Based on what? Apparently based on pixie dust since virtually no real proof is offered.

First the Miami Herald report chock full of facts which shows Romney with a solid lead:

The big story here is the HUGE drop in Obama early vote percentages compared to 2008 yet AP chooses to emphasize that he is leading in early voting based on not much.

I’ve just been thinking of Obama as MacBeth; and it’s Act V— Obama clings to the auguries of his weird sister, Nate Silver, but the armies of MacDuff are advancing on all sides.

The liberal media seems to be grasping at anything to convince their audience (maybe even themselves) that Obama will win. I actually read a serious article on yahoo about a majority of psychics predict Obama will win. If you have to turn to Ms. Cleo for reassurance it's looking bad for your side.

Barry also seems to be trying to “appear” more “presidential” during this weekend before the election. If you want to be president, you have to be able to “appear presidential”. It’s almost a requirement.

You’d think the MSM would learn from its 2004 exit polling scam. Headlines like this only result in more Romney voters getting out to vote and more Romney volunteers working more blocks, making more calls.

Heretofore, the media polls were designed to suppress the GOP pote by "demonstrating" their guy was going to lose.

The media polls are now designed to encourage the Democrat vote by "demonstrating" their guy can still win.

It's all about "the down ticket" now.

That the MSM willingly engages in this propaganda charade at this late point is truly stunning. They can no longer recognize the truth, much less report it.

None of them want to be the one who reports the truth about Obama. None of them want to tell the people the bad stuff about Obama and what he has done to our country.

Re “scant proof”. I’m glad they can’t prove it. I don’t like early voting because it gives too much time for Democrat cheating.

this is a good thing....it will give those who don’t want another four years of failed obama policies the motivation to get out and vote for Romney...

DemocRATS lie.

It’s who they are; it’s what they do.

And, at this point, it’s all they have left.

Just stood in line for three and a half hours to vote in Palm Beach County (Boynton Beach). Everyone patient and calm. Though we didn’t overtly talk politics I believe I was an overwhelming underdog in supporting Romney. Many African Americans seemed to have voted early and appear to be overwhelmingly for Obama. I was going to wait until Tuesday but saw the long lines for today, the last day of early voting, and decided to take care of it now.

Paper ballot had five sides of state amendments and one for candidates. Had to mark six pages and scan three separate sheets. Amazingly awkward ballot. I miss New York.

I have been wondering, how do they know how the early voters vote? I can see they would know what party the voters belong to, but now would they know how they vote?

AP has noticed that votes for Romney in swing states are going for Obammy. Voter fraud is a big factor in this election. The GOP let it get this bad.
