You can add Sarah Silverman and Tina Fey to that list too.

Back in the old days people like Carson, Jack Benny, George Burns, and Bob Hope could make jokes about all types of people on both sides and do it in a way that everyone enjoyed. They would never inject themselves so blatantly into campaigns like these creeps do.

People still don’t really know what their personal politics really were.

I agree. Ferrell’s continued crutch of the Bush shtick. It’s as if Jon Lovitz had continued to make a living off of his passable Dukakis imitation, or, hell, Gary Kroeger trying to keep doing Mondale.
