Speaking Monday at a briefing on storm recovery. Gov. Chris Christie revealed he unexpectedly spoke with Bruce Springsteen earlier in the day.

He cried because he met his idol? I think he may have a mental problem and needs to be checked out. I believe this because his behavior has suddenly changed from what it was. He has been under great stress and due to his extreme weight that his body has to support, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has a medical problem.
One day on an election day some years ago, a couple of our workers told me what the county clerk was saying. I said she has had a stroke, and not long after that she was taken to the hospital and she did have a stroke. A radical change of behavior is suspect that something has happened.

What's weird is that it looks like the article used the wrong term ("met"), as the rest of the article implies it was a phone call.
Keep in mind that there was some interview with Christie, maybe in Esquire, where he basically was begging for Springsteen to acknowledge him. This was played beautifully by Obama -- after Christie acted like a good little b*tch he got his surprise reward of a conversation with his idol, something he's publicly been begging for, thanks to the President.
I mean, there are bands and musicians I like, but I wouldn't sell out my beliefs just for the chance to talk to them. He's an aging rock star, not a messiah.
If Christie is that into Springsteen ya gotta know that he loves to dance too....lol
