My wife has never been fingerprinted, she’s 61. Most people that do not have a security clearance or been arrested, haven’t ever been fingerprinted.

I was fingerprinted as a Marine dependent as a child, in the Army, for a police job, for a stockbroker license, for a mortgage broker license and for a security officer license and maybe some others I’ve forgotten.

In Texas they also take fingerprints for a Concealed Handgun License.

I beleive that is correct. Somewhere around 50M to 55M Americans have fingerprints on file. Somewhere around 1 in 6.
