Actually, she has mellowed quite a bit. She keeps her claws to herself, and when she bites, she no longer breaks the skin. They're more like love bites.
A little gentleness and some soft words go far to calm down a crazy kitty.
That works really well on me, too.
She may be mellowing with age and/or certain of her place now. My 13 year old Rags has gotten stranger. But she was always odd to begin with. lol
