At least you have times to remember that were not part of the demise.

I’m only 31, so the 80s I was only 8 =(.

The rest has sucked.

Like many posters here have said, the educational system indoctrination and dumbing-down of the curriculum away from civics and history have done in the young white vote.

Women and their natural state have finished the job.

I’m only 23. I guess I was born to late to experience the American Dream. :(

This is what it must have felt like to be a Roman in the 5th century.

I grew up in the 50’s & 60’s. Kids could run around the neighborhoods and woods and play. We learned about the founders with pride, honor & integrity. We learned how to do math in our heads.

The beginning of the end, now in retrospect, was the leftist revolutions of the late 60s. Combined with the drugs, self-centeredness & enshrinement of “cool” rather than hard work, it marked the first American generation to leave the world worse off, in the long run.

Reagan brought us back from the 70s malaise, but too many people were doing well but let socialism (big government) grow its tendrils. It has now bloomed heartily.

We fed the weeds, and now they have choked out the garden.
