Wow, I am glad I don’t know everything like you seem to think you do. No, I do not know any particular event that happened in 1987. Apparently, you didn’t either if you mentioned Google.
Calling me names and making fun of me doesn’t help.
Look, I will be straight. I am an epileptic. Had one surgery this year and in one day 20 grand mals. Sometimes the medicine they have me on makes me a bit foggy. I have lost one dog through stomach flipping and another is about to die of cancer this year. I am not saying this for sympathy. Just to let you know it’s been a rough year. I would appreciate you not mocking me. That’s all.
Pulling for sympathy is no excuse for not knowing the Great American Experiment. It has been the Revolution, the fight for individual Freedom, the Idea that our Rights come from God, not Government. No Kings, No Lords, No Masters except God. Our forefathers fought and died for this cause and created the ultimate form of government - Our Constitution.
Only in America could this have happened! It’s called democratic government, actually controlled by the people with rights from God! We the people are in control and in charge of our Country - not Government! They are our servants!
Now when more of the people want more of the Government and can elect them then we have lost! Our great experiment is over and we might as well be governed by Kings.
I’m sure that he meant nothing negative toward you but for you NOT to understand what he was saying does say something about your education or your understanding of America or maybe your understanding of our Government and just how it came about! Perhaps you are from another country?
This is NOT meant to be mean in any way. Just saying if you really did not understand what he was saying then you need lots of history lessons (which I know are missing in our schools these days).
Sorry, that was a typo that should have read "1787".
And yes, I know quite a bit about the FF's concerns, intentions, correspondence, editorials, personal discussions, personal diaries, and their Constitutional Debates. I know who was for States' Rights and who was for Federal control during the early debates before the Revolution. Can you give me the name of the Fedgov supporter without Googling?
I'm sorry if it seemed I was mocking you, but I was actually trying to say you were ill-informed. Although little difference, the nuance offended you. That was not my intent. Take care and hope you feel better.
