Don’t worry about it. Forgotten. We are all pretty sensitive after the election.

A 3 handicap is almost pro. That is really fantastic.

If your handicap is 3 my dad being a plus 3 would have to give you 6 strokes.

You are right. Golf is a great game. It’s one of the few games you compete against yourself and you always want to play with someone better than yourself as it will improve your game. I sure understand about getting older. You may even have to change to a lighter set of clubs too. LOL

Thank you again for your apology and may I do the same.

Thank you very much for your understanding...

Maybe golf is the intermediate area of understanding...heh.

A bit of clarification though, a Plus 3 and a Handicap of 3 is the same thing. That means that on a course of par 72 and you shoot a 75, you would be adjusted to a par round of 72. So, your Dad and I would be the same handicap. Now in my younger years, I would have beaten him badly...heh (Sorry, had to get that in..).

At any rate, thanks for your understanding and I understand you... Keep up the good work here...

Wow, I missed wanting to respond to one of your comments.

As to lighter clubs - ie. swing weight. I have been making my own clubs for 30 years and adjusting swing weights, loft, stiffness, etc. (still like steel over carbon for irons) as needed with age...heh. Still have all the equipment to make clubs.

I usually get my parts from Golfsmith but occasionally a few other places. I do adjust the length and weight for me though and usually have about 3 sets with different measurements/weights/stiffness. Eventually though I’ve settled on a general area and now only have a couple of sets. That happens when you get older - heh. But that is expected and normal...

So yes, Golf is a great game with so many differences for the player. I imagine that your Dad was also continuously challenging the physical limits of the equipment. Ask him and I would assume that he will thrill you with hours of club selection, length, shaft stiffness, loft, and many other things.

You will only become closer with such conversations!
