Vanity: Candy Crowley and Chris Christie probably cost Romney the election.

There are those on here that would not support Romney. They said it themselves.

As much as Crowley and Christie were hurtful, they are not to blame for the loss. Given all the weaknesses and vulnerabilities Obama had - it should never, ever, have gotten to the point that these two events should have affected the outcome, even if they did.

The reality is, Romney - as a nice and decent a guy as he undoubtedly is - was simply not up to the task. Indeed, he was only a marginal improvement over McCain. The statistics bear this out.

Obama’s term was a target rich environment to attack - yet Romney never closed the gap. Ever. The fault for this must be placed squarely where it belongs - on the strategy, and in faulting the strategy, we must fault he who ultimately bore responsibility for it, Romney.

Ya know, I don’t think, actually I know that I can’t listen to another pundit, radio hack, or Fox News show anymore! I’m gonna go and spend 4 years in a hidden way. I bet the Fox News ratings collapse and you start seeing people not watching or paying attention to any politics for a long time!

How can any candidate overcome a 47 percent and growing taker society?

Romney was not bad at all folks. Our people have to some extent been brainwashed by a billion from government union employees, the press, during education by the teacher’s union and we have quite a few dependent on the dole.

Get the popcorn out, we are now Greece, here comes the crash and burn.

Do you seriously think that any GOP candidate has much against the media propaganda machine? I used to think that this was true, but frankly, our nation runs on the media to a great extent. It’s amazing how many lies or distortions you would get just for trying to disagree with Obama. Frankly, how would you like to face the media with your mind? or your thoughts? Many of us like to blame the candidates, but none of us really could do much better. We live in a time where the media is a rival world religion, pretty much. One-party rule comes around, and well, there’s still light at the end of the tunnel.

It was a little bit of everything, but mostly the Media, an incumbent president, then Candy Crowley, a little bit Chris Christie, and voter fraud.
Mitt turned out to be better than most expected, I don’t thunk Santorum, Gingrich or any of the others would have as come close.

Well, for what it’s worth, I came away from this election believing that Romney is really a very personable, likable guy.

But yep, he’s a flip-flop, flim-flam artist extraordinaire. He never did explain the “replace” in his plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, did he?

If we were defeated it was because our society has become pig-ignorant rabble that expects a handout from the gvt instead of taking care of itself. Couple that with the fact that to survive in the US is now a $2000+ a month overhead expense.

As far as I am concerned, Krushchev was right: we've been taken down without a shot. They've reaped the whirlwind.

We can point fingers all we want, however, the Republicans once again ran another moderate Republican. Plus, the takers in this country took over.

I have not seen the numbers but I believe the Christians stayed home. I thought the ObamaCare mandates would have brought them out in droves, it didn't.
And yes maybe the takers have finally reached the tipping point.
The abortion issue was used effectively against us even if we never brought it up.
I think the electorate is telling us that they don't care if we go bankrupt and debase the constitution, just as long as they can have the government benefits without any responsibility.
Social conservatives like Akin and Mourdock were shown the door immediately. I don't think a more conservative ticket would have made a difference.

I like your attitude.
GIRD YOUR LOINS.
Our scruples haven’t changed and shouldn’t; we have tougher work to do and tougher times to go through; be prepared.

When Obama got “elected” the first time, I remember crying to myself on the couch and saying, “Don’t people know who this man IS?!?”

I got a mental image of Christ carrying His cross with his mother walking, crying beside Him as He walked to His death.

Be strong and be prepared to fight.

I admit Christy ‘s big hugs and kisses didn’t help, but the stupid voters got sucked in by the Wide One. According to the exit polls, many of the gullible voters found that dang hurricane to be a bigger issue than Libya, or Fast and Furious. If the Hurricane had just come a month later or a couple weeks earlier, I think the results would be different. If people had seen how NY citizens were suffering it would have been another Katrina. Bloombrain was so pro-union that nothing will be fixed soon.

Never underestimate the magic underpants factor. The cult of Mormon is/was a true threat, is definitely not Christian, and has a long long history of insurection against the USA, backed by their sugar-daddy City of London banksters since 1835.

Google White Horse Prophecy, John Stuart Mill (whilst working for the British East India Company) praising Joseph Smith as the ideal fascist leader, Mountain Meadows Massacre, Blood Oath of Vengeance, President Buchanan using the word ‘terrorism’ in public referring to the Mormon Deseret stronghold, the mass migration of the Mormon leadership, (including Romney’s family) fleeing to Mexico and renouncing their citizenship over polygamy, etc etc. Bad news all of it.

“Romney didn’t make the sale because his product sucked.

All he did was bleed the other candidates dry so he could by de facto become the nominee...”

I disagree. A stinking dog corpse on the side of the road should have beaten the magic negro on his record. A dead dog, however, doesn’t give out freebies like the magic negro.

Ronald Reagan would have lost if he ran this cycle. People don’t want self-reliance. They don’t want the “American Dream,” they don’t want free enterprise. They want foodstamps and government handouts.

Romney was right about the 47%. As soon as it tips to 50.1%, and that is just around the corner, the world as we know it is turned upside down.

God help us.

Yes. You are so right, they had nothing to do with the nation wanting more of this nightmare. It’s our fellow citizens folks. We are circling the drain and they just don’t see it. It’s just too bad that we are being sucked in too, the good with the bad. Very very sad
