Donald Trump decried the Electoral College and called for a revolution in the wake of the reelection of President Obama on Tuesday night.
Trump, in one of the most extreme reactions to Mitt Romneys loss by a high-profile Republican, called for Americans to march on Washington.
The real estate mogul and host of reality show The Apprentice has been an outspoken supporter of Mitt Romney. He used Twitter to object vehemently to the Electoral College system that he predicted would give the win to Obama and the popular vote to the GOP challenger.
Obama was declared the winner of the election on Tuesday after multiple networks declared he won Ohio, thus weighting the electoral map in his favor. Romney was still leading in the popular vote shortly after midnight.
Trump called the Electoral College a disaster for a democracy a total sham and a travesty.
But either Trump or his team was deleting his tweets as fast as he sent them, including two that called for a revolution.
One read: We should have a revolution in this country!
Another said: More votes equals a loss...revolution!
Unlike Trump, other conservatives on Twitter were less riled by Romneys loss.
Erick Erickson, founder of the influential conservative Red State blog, was critical of the Romney campaign on Twitter and counseled that Obamas reelection hardly means the end of the conservative movement.
Erickson actually indicated he was resigned to the outcome before the major networks called the race for Obama, tweeting a thanks to Team Obama before following up later with a "congratulations" and a promise.
But longtime Republican campaign strategist Karl Rove disputed the Ohio call in the minutes after most major networks declared it a win for Obama, warning it was too early. Fox News heard him out and even took viewers on a trip backstage to the decision desk to question the math behind the decision. The network ultimately decided to stand behind its decision to call Ohio for Obama.
I just wanted to raise the question, which I did, Rove defended himself a few minutes later, accepting the call.
Welp, someone better fire the 1st shot and get the party started.
Violent uprisings are always bloody affairs and harder than they sound.
I advise against it.
This is treason, pure and simple. Trump should be jailed for this type of talk.
Vote if you want results. One narrow loss does not call for revolution.
Trump had nothing but hot air. He wasted time and effort. He created sympathy for Obama and made Dems look reasonable and sane. Screw the Donald.
“called for Americans to march on Washington”
Hey Donald? Were you there when the Tea Party Marched on Washington, and held rallies regionally?
Or were you with bankers and insurance “paper” MBS makers who have got off with heir scott free bailouts.
The sad thing is, with the A__hole in charge, a bloody affair may be the preferable option.
Okay, Mr. Comb-over, you first. No? I didn't think so.
Abolishing the Electoral collage is NOT even remotely close to the answer. that will just enable the mob to rob us of our rights all the more effervescently.
Indeed the only real answer in dealing with criminals(the mob voting itself money from our rights & liberty) is to cut off their access to us. Yes that means a revolution too but the American kind.(Secession)

Trump’s revolution won’t just start spontaneously next week.
BUT.. if the economy collapses and unemployment skyrockets and the Federal Government goes broke for real, and then can’t pay Social Security, Medicare, EBT food stamp cards..
THEN.. your revolution WILL start. Maybe preceded by a
military coup... or in concert with it.
Varsity Flight who cares where he was before just accept that he and many others are with us now. Late commers are better than no commers.
Donald welcome to the party pal!
Folks, if we can’t sell our ideas, then Revolution would only leave us with a populace that didn’t buy into what we were doing.
It would be inappropriate for the Left to revolt. It would be inappropriate for us to.
We have got to re-educate people somehow. I don’t know how you do that these days, but people just aren’t buying what we’re selling.
Trump is all bluster, and no action. He would start something that we had to finish. He’s a wealthy hot-head, just as dumb as any poor hot-head.
Ignore him. Obama and his inJustice Department would love nothing more than to be able to take down a large body of Conservatives for cause.
He sounds as wacky as Obama.
Let’s throw away the constitution he cries.....
Grow up, Donald.
If I were Trump, I’d take my money and go to a country where it would be appreciated. Wealthy conservatives should not stay in the USA, where their money is confiscated and used to buy votes for the Democrats. And he better do it now, before laws can be made that limits what he can take out of the country.
nothing violent if we can avoid it. We simply have to find a way to cut off the criminals acess to our money & freedom.
Generally that requires secession when that criminal is a hostilities and select majority.
Thus the revolution required is very much an American revolution.
We are wasting time working in a broken system that we can't win in. Anyone who doesn't see that at the national level needs to wake up. We can put the feds in the position of initiating any violence by just ignoring blatant unconstitutional laws and mandates at the state level, and warn that any use of force will be resisted to let them know the stakes.
Those who can't fathom a Revolution should just give up because we are coming to our end one way or the other. Those who don't take revolution serious these days are the same people who see our founding fathers as fictional characters they pretend to admire, but laugh at when it comes to their beliefs. Violence isn't the first thing a person who is seriously thinking about revolution thinks about, although you must be willing to take it as far as it goes once started. We have realistic options that could very well end peacefully. The union is probably done, but people need start accepting reality if we are going to come out of this dire situation the best we possibly can.
