I don’t know. It’s not inconceivable that it could drag on this way for a century or more.
No it has dragged on for almost a century and the cancer is in the terminal phase. Once a country surpasses 100% of GDP in debt with a fiat currency it isn’t going to take long. Can you really see this system going on through 4 more years of trillion plus annual deficits when the rest of the world is also in such bad shape? I just hope when it happens that it also happens to the Russians and the Chinese or they’ll jump at the chance to “help” us.
