So how you going to work it? Let us assume you succeed in overthrowing the present government by force and put yourselves in temporary control.
To be true to the ideals you claim to hold, you will eventually have to hold elections and submit to the will of the people.
At that point you will lose the election. You will then have to either give up power, which means your whole revolution fails, or develop some other rationale for holding onto power. Personally, I can imagine such rationales, but I can’t call them “American.” They would be based on entirely different principles.
IOW, what does a revolution held in the name of the people do when the people reject it?
Your whole argument is based on the notion that the people are “really” behind you. What if they aren’t?
I don't know all the details of how a revolution will play out, but no one can give me a serious alternative, and that's why it's all I will support regardless of the risk. Those risk are there either way. It's at the point it's laughable to be supporting the corrupt and unconstitutional system we have now. I know a revolution is all that can possibly work at this point. Anyone with a strategy based around revolution is on the right path. Anyone still lying to themselves and looking to 2016 are on the wrong path. It's time to start discussing and planning for Revolution, or just giving up if you can't ever see working outside the system no matter how bad it gets.
