But doesn’t this also show Obama got less votes than 2008. One could hardly call that a mandate.

Romney votes will be a little more than McCain when it’s all done.

Obama’s will be down a few million.

Problem is the difference is not enough to change the result of an Obama victory.

We simply do not have the votes. A few million people were turned off Obama and didn’t bother doing the hope/change thing this time. But we are capped at 60 million. And if we get a true conservative in there it will add votes but lose just as many of the “moderate” Republican voters.

We have a Catch 22 with warring camps within our party. They have a motley crew of disparate grievance groups who don’t get offended when the other parts of their coalition are pandered to.

In sum - we’re screwed and this was our last best hope and it will never shift back

I haven't turned on the TV or radio yet, tell me what the Obama Media Group is calling it this morning, if you please?
