Very good and interesting thread. It appears to me that the only thing standing between the people and absolute financial disaster, is now the House of Representatives. The only govt body still somewhat in the hands of potential conservatives. That body will be pilloried far more than they have been during obamas first term if they attempt to save the economy by reducing spending and stopping the ridiculous borrowing that has doubled the debt and given us a deficit of 1.4 trillion.
State legislators are also going to play because they are in on the deficit increases by accepting govt cash that is worth forty percent less by virtue of borrowing. I would love to see states figure out how to funnel all federal income tax through their Dept of Revenue and extracting what would normally come their way before sending it in to what may become a very cash strapped federal govt.
If Obama thought the economy was coming back, I wonder what he is going to think once January gets here and obamageddon sinks in, followed very closely by 2014 and full implementation of obama care. Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a very bumpy ride IMHO.
Oh and they are already announcing the new season premier of “doomsday preppers”. Soon to be one of the most watched.
Surely the status quo is not going to be a solution for what ails us?
obama fully expects the House of Rep to cave and give him his tax on the “rich” rather than let the country go into the abyss
He is fully prepared to call their bluff and cares not for the people who will suffer (military, seniors) if the GOP stands up to him. After all, HE WON
AND, he no longer needs to worry about getting elected
In a way I say the GOP should give Soetero EVERYTHING HE WANTS
Then no excuses but the democrats OWN the results
The last time this almost happened in 2010 the democrats scrambled like HELL to save the “Bush tax cuts” because they KNOW Soetero’s tax increases will strangle the economy
