Actually, I said the the south will not accept it...but that it will moot when the Federal government, as seems likely, imposes it in the near future, whether via Congress or the Supreme Court.
People in the south didn't accept abortion in the 1960's, but the Supreme Court imposed it on the entire country, did they not?
And if people don't want gay marriage, why is it now passing in elections for the first time?

I have no children. In any case, the fact that you have anecdotal evidence that a dozen children aren't in favor of gay marriage is hardly evidence of nationwide attitudes towards the same.
