The key words in your post are illegal aliens. The majority of Hispanics in this country are native born. My family has been in New Mexico since 1598. This vitriol against people with Spanish surnames is killing the Republican party. It doesn’t matter that we are the party has Marco Rubio or Susanna Martinez if we keep this crap up. Perception is reality to many people, and right now the perception is the Republican party is anti Hispanic.

Don’t worry, Even if noone ever says it, the news media will report it anyways.

The Republicans are anti-Hispanic I don’t get it... just because they prefer to enforce the rule of law regarding illegal immigration? Hmm. I don’t see that as against Hispanic I just see it as them wanting ALL ethnicities to reside here LEGALLY. What is so hard to understand about that? Furthermore, George Bush was a Republican and he was VERY pro-Hispanic. I think the problem is that the Hispanics don’t just want fair and equal...they want to have “special” priviledges. Why? I don’t know. Because we are neighbors? Because they think they belong in this land, that whites stole parts of it from them? I abhor when a special interest group of people try to shut down a legitimate argument with that ol’ “well, you’re racist” or “You just don’t like (insert nationality).”

Well we can certainly fix that quick, just promise more gimmees and tear the doors down to America, and they’ll all just love us, for the short time we survive in this country.

I am over politics as a means to change. My fundamentalist forefathers were right, I should have paid them heed to stay well away from politics.

Next week I remove my Republican registration, and this was my last vote.

With all due respect I believe you have it backwards.

It is (generally) Hispanics who act, and at times threaten, and vote like one demographic whether they are native born/citizens or not.

The question I pose to you...are Hispanics going to move America to a higher level of greatness, or break her by changing her into a welfare state?

One more thing. What has the Republican party ever done to Hispanics? Try to enforce our laws? Not just roll over and make Spanish the national language?

Please make a list for me. What has so ruined the image of the Republican party in Hispanics eyes?
