Rocket engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne Inc. cut 100 salaried and hourly positions Wednesday as a response to an uncertain future of the space industry and the general economic climate.
Seventy five of those positions were eliminated in its two San Fernando Valley facilities one on Canoga Avenue in Canoga Park, and the other at DeSoto Avenue and Nordhoff Street in Chatsworth. The layoffs bring total Valley employees to 1,100.

I will quietly celebrate every time I see an obama worker thrown out of work. Let them starve.
Hope and Change..isn’t Socialism awesome
This is what people voted for. I wont shed a tear for any Obama voter who is about to lose their job..enjoy that welfare and food stamps from the Govt
For the most part, these are not Obama workers.
another problem Obama inherited...from himself
Gee it has not made the list on the Daily Job cuts yet... Welcome to Obamas aMeriKa 2012
Lay them all off. Obamas aMeriKa is a nation of takers and grifters....
all good...keep it coming....
I’m with you. I’m going to relish every single announcement of large layoffs because you know that at least half of the folks working there, or more, voted for the continuation toward socialism. I’m especially happy to see the California voters decided to tax their wealthy liberals at a higher rate too. Come on rich liberals - celebrate - you said you wanted to pay more. Hey I know, why not stop all write offs for the ultra rich for any money over one million? They should welcome that - and they will be helping the non-working class so much. It’s only fair, right?
Hey Texan. I agree with you 100%. And we can add the rich guy tax oshitface wants to charge them.
Well I really shouldn’t be happy when anyone loses a job - that comment will probably bite me in the arse...but I’m loving the rich liberals paying more taxes, while smiling - they have to because they said they wanted to!
We can’t start rebuilding until the collapse is complete.
No sense in delaying the inevitable - Might as well get it over.
