PING!
Hey, that’s a pretty good post right there!
Thanks for that. Some of that good news was overwhelmed by the reelection of the African communist, and it’s good stuff indeed.
Go back and remember the Republican primary campaign season of late 2011 and early 2012. If you had told most conservatives -- and most people on this site, in particular -- that Mitt Romney would not be the next President of the United States, they would have been thrilled.
Sometimes we just don't know how to appreciate the good things in life, eh?
The real bright side will start when the punk POTUS gets tarred and feathered when our economy starts unraveling.
Some people confuse the BIG loss for America with a Republican loss.
I see things as the same. We won some, we lost nothing.
We did not lose the Presidency. We never had it to lose.
We didn’t lose the Senate. We never had it to lose.
We didn’t win the Senate because we already had it.
The BIGGEST loser is America.
In Michigan, Prop 2 would have given the unions constitutional veto power over the state legislature. -DEFEATED
Prop 3 would have constitutionally mandated that the state be 25% powered by green energy (primarily wind) by 2025. Even supporters called it impossible but wanted a constitutional mandate anyway. - DEFEATED
Prop 4 would have given unions a constitutional right to seize union dues from home care workers who get no representation from a union. (primarily family members caring for severely disabled spouses or offspring). -DEFEATED
Indiana elected a Tea Party backed governor and Republican supermajorities in both state senate and house.
Indiana now holds a Super walkout-Proof Majority in the Legislature and Mike Pence as Gov.
the only statewide position held by a Dem is State School Superintendent.
somehow, a Union hack managed to get elected by getting a “Letter to the Editor” printed in about every paper in the state bashing the current Super for wanting School reform.
Just to add since this article is a day old, today it was finally confirmed in Arkansas that Republicans have taken over both houses of the state legislature, only the senate had been confirmed by yesterday due to malfunctioning software. Plus the way Arkansas has gone solidly Republican since the Kenyan took office, we will have an easy pickup in the national Senate when Pryor comes up for reelection in 2014.
As the promoter on TV would say, “There’s more!”
“5. Despite entrenched teachers union opposition, a charter school initiative in Washington state triumphed.”
A constitutional amendment was passed here in Georgia, which was opposed by some entrenched local school interests, that allows entities to go to the state government to obtain charters for schools if local school boards refuse to allow a school to be chartered.
“18. Republicans won historic supermajorities in Tennessee.”
(hope that means no possibility of an income tax there!)
Republicans will have a super majority in the Georgia Senate when an independent Senator goes GOP.
Thanks MM!
At least Roraback (RINO-CT) lost to a real Dem in the CT-5th. Maybe not good news, but CT GOP needs to rebuild...
Wow! That evil bastard Stark is out of there? A silver lining, indeed.
2X. Voters in the Commonwealth of Virginia overwhelmingly approved a Constitutional amendment to limit Eminent Domain.
