Wow! Great article but I take exception to one line...
“The GOP needs to leave its anti-immigration absolutists behind.”

If an article that is fair sees us this way, we have a problem. I didn’t think we were anti-immigration, only that we wanted the laws enforced.Immigrate legally and don’t come expecting to be on the dole. Self supporting by their own contributions.

This is something we must address, because there are people standing in line, following the spaghetti-bowl rules and getting kicked in the teeth for following the rules.

We must define what it is we want or accept on immigration, if not they will define us and alienate us.

Truly secure our borders is a first for me.

Mark Levin had someone on his show yesterday who argued that immigration policy isn’t costing Republicans Latino votes. They as a demographic like big government free stuff.

But that was always the position of the WSJ. They are very conservative but when it comes to illegals, they want to remove all obstacles.
